Johnny Brown passed away on Monday, November 27, 2023. He is survived by his wife, Holly Brown; his children, Ben Brown, Joshua Brown (Hannah), and Max Marks (Liza); his beloved grandchildren, Miles, Kepler, Huxley, Elijah, and Ruth; and his siblings, David Brown (Patricia), Lisa Hawkins (George), Tim Senay (Rachel), and Steve Senay (Susan).
Johnny was admired for many reasons. He was smart, an avid reader, and knowledgeable on myriad subjects. He always spoke his mind and stood by his beliefs, even when it wasn’t popular. He was kind, compassionate, and caring. And he liked to have fun, whether it was shooting off firework parachutes for the kids to chase and catch, playing games, or making puns that would make you groan. He would laugh so hard he would have to catch his breath; it was infectious.
He loved his family so much and made sure they all knew it. He was a great father and grandfather. He raised three magnificent boys and had five grandkids that admired him.
We had hoped to continue sharing our lives with his for many years to come, but, instead, we find ourselves mourning his sudden loss. With heavy hearts and clumsy words, we write this obituary to raise a cairn in his honor, and we move forward with an unfillable void his death has left behind in all of us.
We love and miss you terribly.
