Marina C. Culpepper

Marina Mallari Canlas Culpepper, 75, of Warner Robins, GA, passed away peacefully in Canton, GA on Thursday, December 7, 2023.

Marina was born in Dinalupihan, Bataan, Philippines, on January 18, 1948, to Ruben and Consolacion Mallari Canlas. She graduated from Northern Bataan Institute in 1964 and went on to study at St. Michael College in Guagua, Pampanga.  She met her future husband, Ron, in June 1973 while working at Subic Bay Naval Station in Olongapo, Philippines. They were married on July 6, 1974 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Chula Vista, CA.

Marina moved to Middle Georgia in 1976, created a loving home and raised two children. She enjoyed working throughout her life; with some favorite assignments being Allied Chemical, Boeing Aircraft, Hampton Inn, JCPenney, Houston County Board of Education, and even having her own housekeeping services.  She was a parishioner at Holy Spirit and Sacred Heart Catholic Churches.  As a senior citizen, she attended Paul Mitchell - The School Esani in Alpharetta, GA and received her Master Cosmetologist license, fulfilling a lifelong dream. She enjoyed providing home services to many.  Marina loved to stay active by exercise, dancing, shopping and traveling; she often visited with her children and grandchildren in metro Atlanta, GA and siblings in Gurnee, IL. 

She is survived by her husband, Ronald Culpepper; daughters - Jennifer Bibeau (Charles) of Canton, GA and Bianca Bowser (Nick) of Hoschton, GA; grandchildren - Celeste, Isabella, Joshua and Marco Bibeau, Kai and Pax Bowser; siblings - Elissandro Canlas(Evelyn), Cleofe Canlas Dunton (Howard ✝️), Bayani Canlas (Teresita), and Noel Canlas (Juliet), all of Gurnee, IL; siblings-in-law Marie Bruner (Larry) of Cataula, GA and Bruce Culpepper (Brenda) of Waverly Hall, GA; several extraordinary nieces and nephews, precious grandnieces and grandnephews, and one great-grandnephew. 

A Funeral Mass was held at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Alpharetta, GA on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, followed by interment at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.
